Hi all, Natalie here again with a two-page layout that I created with the gorgeous September 2011 Lucky Girls kit!
Husband and I have made it an unofficial goal to see as many of the waterfalls in our area as we can while we live here. Earlier this summer, we traveled about 20 minutes from where we live to see Chittenango Falls. It was a beautiful little hike, even if it was a grayish sort of day.
The papers in the September Lucky Girls kit were perfect for the photos I had from our afternoon at the falls. I am a B-side kind of girl, so I immediately was attracted to the gray houndstooth side of the Bite Sized Bits paper. And probably my absolute favorite paper in the kit as the kraft-background White Macaroni. I cut my title and the scalloped border from that paper! The polkadot twill tape was the perfect continuation of the circle theme... and I added the vintage buttons tied with some of the twine. To highlight the photo of Husband and I, I traced a small plate and hand-stitched along the pencil line with more of the twine. As a warning if you try this yourself-- make sure you pierce nice big holes ahead of time! Stitching with twine is not for the faint of heart, haha!
