A Mid-Week Mojo Layout with Homemade Happiness

Good Morning, and Happy Wednesday everyone! Emily here, with your Mid-Week Mojo from Lucky Girl Crafts! I'm so excited to show you this layout that I created with this month's awesome Homemade Happiness kit. There are so many wonderful items in this kit, you will not be disappointed if you get it. 

I created Happy Pickin using a lot of the scraps that I had left over from the kit after some of my larger projects. The colors really fit with the photo of my son picking out his pumpkins from this past fall's trip to Broom's Orchard. We always have such a blast when we go there. It is a family tradition. 

As you can see, I used a couple of different techniques when creating this layout. They are better shown in the close-ups below.... 

I took very thin pieces of some of the Imaginisce Blossoms of Blue paper and wrapped it around a small paint brush to get the paper curled. I love this look so much. I then used my low temp glue gun to adhere the pieces down and under the flowers. 

These flowers are so fun to make. I take a two inch wide and twelve inch long strip of patterned paper, in this case the Echo Park - For the Record - Tablecloth paper and used my Martha Stewart edge punch on one side of it. I then pleated it in a circle to create the flower. I added a button from the kit, and had a cute pleated flower. I adore these flowers so much!! 

I used one of the journaling tags from the Echo Park - For the Record - Noteworthy paper. These are the best for journaling and little touches to add to your projects. I use them for journaling or for various other pieces in my layouts. They also make great photo mats for smaller photos as well.
