Midweek Mojo with our Guest Lucky Girl!

Hi friends! We've got a special treat in store for you today. Join me in welcoming our guest Lucky Girl Leslie, all the way from Philadelphia, PA! You're going to love all the adorable projects she's got up her sleeve with our June kit - Hullabaloo!

Hello! My name is Leslie, but my friends call me Chainsaw. I am writing a doctoral dissertation while working as a full-time nanny. This is code for, “I spent a lot of time ribbon dancing, jelly-making, basket-weaving, and trying to build a time machine when I should have been doing school work, and now I chase kids around trying to remove snot crust when I should be working at Harvard and looking down at you scornfully from my ivory tower.” I’m single and looking to mingle, and I know you’re dying to introduce me to your handsome brother/cousin/co-worker, but I only date men who can wield a machete, cook a proper risotto, and remove diet coke stains from walls. I live in Philadelphia, which is fun, but it also means that there are homeless people who sing, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” outside of my building at the crack of dawn. Actually, I’m exaggerating. There is only one homeless guy who does that. The other guy sings Top 40 hits, and he often takes requests. I spent the first 22 years of my life in Texas, and my cholesterol levels are still elevated from my past consumption of chicken-friend steak. Now, other than the occasional bear-meat burger, I stick to vegetables. But I don’t like the red, green, orange, white, or yellow ones. I eat a lot of eggplant.

I loved creating with my Lucky Girl Crafts kit this month, but I think a lot of my fun stemmed from the novelty of creating with real supplies. Usually, my layouts are made out of ketchup packets and chewed gum. But I’m afraid my projects are still held together with peanut butter. I’m choosy, so I only use Jif.

Stay tuned this week for more great projects from Leslie & the rest of our Lucky Girls!
