Cutie Patootie & Summer Shimmer!

Good morning, lovely Lucky Girls! Jessica here with you again today, bringing a cutesy approach to the sparkle and shimmer in our beautiful August kit.

Last weekend we celebrated my daughter Sophia's 8th birthday and I realized that I haven't really finished her baby album. Not a huge surprise, since I don't really scrap in chronological order, but still...

Good thing these playful prints and bright colors inspired me to finish a layout from her first vacation!

I added the CUTIE title that was snipped from one of Sophia's baby girl shirts that she grew out of long ago. To accent the layout, this month's lovely embellies are to drool over! I used a single rosette bloom from the American Crafts ribbon, and embellished it with some sparkly SEI brads. I liked it so much I'm going to make some little barrettes for Soph's first day of school. Man, I love dual-purpose crafting!

A little mid-week pick me up!

Hi Lucky Girls and happy Wednesday - we've almost made it through another week! Woohoo!

Jessica here again with a little bit of inspiration to help get you through the rest of the week. I've been playing with our latest kit, SUMMER SHIMMER, and came across such a tender, lovely little sentiment on one of the SEI Sunny Day die cuts that it spurred my creativity for a little office decor:

Using some of the other coordinating SEI elements in the kit, along with a piece of the Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss (Stripes) paper from July's kit, and tulle and silk ribbon from May's kit, I created this quick and easy plaque:

I've got a bright and cheery layout for you today that I created with our Summer Shimmer kit:

This layout uses the bold, bright SEI Sunny Day - Summer Bouquet paper from the kit, along with coordinating papers from Echo Park Paper and American Crafts and the coordinating SEI glittered die cut embellies. The Petaloo blooms and rosy American Crafts ribbon from the kit coordinate wonderfully, and together help make black and white photos pop! In addition to the August kit, I used a few small pieces from my stash (the tickets from MME, and the small yellow alpha from My Little Shoebox).
